Good thing too, otherwise I could have enjoyed my reading week to it's full extent.

Nintendo must be adopting Blizzard's business model... anyone remember Diablo 2?

Or better yet Ghost? Or hell, ANY blizzard game.

Eh, it made it(brawl) to japan , so whatever, it will arrive here sooner or later, allthough the delay is puzzeling.. since Japan has the game now. how long does translation take, sheesh?

If you want to talk about disappointing delays, last years spore delay, that was disappointing!

rvarga@uoguelph.ca's picture

I didn't really understand

I didn't really understand why the NA delay was so much longer than the Japanese one. Maybe we're getting some different content or something? I mean, the dojo is going to have a lot of spoilers, so I wouldn't be surprised if they want to give us something different so it's not completely "spoiled".

Ya, I also kinda wonder the same. I dont know about exculsive content, but that would sure be cool! Unfortunality, knowing nintendo, its probally not gonna happen..

No midnight releases around here. Also, the blizzard, so I might no be able to go out and get it tomorrow. One store's within snow-walking distance however so I'm still going to attempt it.

is it just me, or is having you pick your custom control preferences when starting each mode the worst thing ever?

rvarga@uoguelph.ca's picture

I wouldn't say the worst

I wouldn't say the worst thing ever, but it IS annoying. I don't like the tap up to jump, since my joystick skillz aren't always that precise and I end up jumping on accident :-/

Is it just me, or are random on-line battles not going so well? I've been able to have ONE from MANY attempts, often geting an 85010 almost every time, methinks Nintendo servers aren't liking half of North America wanting to rumble. Blegh, they better fix it soon.

i haven't been able to play

i haven't been able to play a random battle yet (tried maybe 6 times) i assumed it was heavy traffic or system problems

i was able to use spectator mode successfully once, so i know of at least four people who were able to play :)

jcarter@uoguelph.ca's picture

it was fine for me yesterday

it was fine for me yesterday (Tuesday), but a disaster on Monday.

a few slowdowns, but a world of difference...

according to the official forums, it's heavy traffic and 'system updates' -- who is downloading that many system updates?

also it's march break for a lot of school kids -- damn kids -- go outside and play!
