My only real beef I have is
My only real beef I have is the first question: "Do you like video games"? While it may be true that computers tend to be powerful and extensible, I've always preferred console games.

Video games is a bit of a misnomer, they do of course also include sounds or "audio" (buzzword). The current generation of gaming (and iPods) is focusing on touch. The next generation is sure to include smells and taste.
Finally, all those pathetic, right-wing, war game enthusiasts will really be able to "love the smell of napalm in the morning".

Ya, I agree, PC gaming ain't all it's cracked up to be, its nice, but ultimately its easyer/cheaper to play console games, well.. unless your buying a PS3..
The one thing I hate most is coaxing PC games into working, I don't think i've ever bought a game that worked perfect out of the box and never crashed.
Oh wait.. Half Life, or at least it used to work perfectly, but now my copy is rather unhappy.. for reasons beyond my want to figure out.
You are forgetting that the
You are forgetting that the PS3 also serves as a PC...with 6 SPEs idling that you can program to your heart's content!!!

I agree, I'm much more of a console gamer than I am a PC Gamer. I think this was just written by some PC fan who's bitter that gaming is becoming more focused on consoles.

Console gaming wont' take over until it lets me regularly use a mouse and keyboard as input. Yeah, dual analog sticks aren't bad but I feel very limited and slow trying to play an FPS or an RTS on a console.
.
It all depends on what you're used to. The pluses for a PC game, to me, are:
I think the biggest downfall with the Wii is lack of power, and that sometimes your arm might get tired, constantly holding up and pointing. The problem with analog joysticks is that they're so small, it can become difficult to maintain precision.
I think in the end, it's not so much the platform as what peripherals you have to work with. Obviously peripherals you are accustomed to and that are easy to use will provide a more satisfactory experience. I think that's a big reason Nintendo went in the direction it did. It's easy to throw in better graphics, sound and processors. It's not as easy to improve the overall experience of the game.
I Dissagree. While controls
I Dissagree. While controls are better on a computer for RTS and FPS, RPGs and alot of Sim games simply work better on consoles. also when you buy a console game you dont have to check to see if it'll work. I know that whenever i buy a console game it WILL work, but if i buy a PC game im not sure if my computer has the muscle for it. I bought Star Trek Legacy(PC) after seeing my friend's brother playing it on X360, and as aweosme of a game it is, i cant play it on my computer because my computer simply doesnt have the power to run it sufficiently.
Also, most Wii games dont require you to point the wiimote at the screen constantly, i play most games im more or less the same position as i do with my ps2.
.
I've found the best position to play Wii games like that is sitting upright in a chair, knees bent and my arms resting on my knees. Provides support for my arm, and all the pointing at the screen is done with just the wrist, basically. Not only do my arms not get tired by the extra support gives me a steadier hand. I can't play Trauma Center nearly as well if I'm just holding my arm up.
I guess it also depends on
I guess it also depends on your chair, and the game you're playing. I have the Wii Zapper, which entails you holding the unit up, like a gun. My chair also cuts off circulation in the legs after a while...not great for uber-long gaming sessions. My computer chair is much more comfortable. I think the chair makes a big difference.
