Crank up the rumour mill: Strike Talk

So, let's hear what people have been hearing in the hallways after class, or over lunch at the Bullring (does anyone even eat there?).

First rumour: If a prolonged strike were to occur, one possible solution for graduating students would be to take their grade at the time of strike and use that to determine pass/fail status in the course.

Personally, I can see riots in the street stemming from that, which is why I would like to hear some responses!

CSA Time...

There are a buttload of contingency plans. Regardless, the University has been clear that they would not keep students waiting beyond April 30th (leases, and all that).

Personally, I'm not terribly worried, especially now that the CUPE strike threat is settled.

The strike is not settled;

The strike is not settled; There is a tentative agreement in place, that has yet to be ratified by the University and CUPE1334. Technically, CUPE1334 is still in strike position.

Yeah...

The update I got on CUPE was somewhat vague. Officially, it's a tentative agreement. I'm hoping that means they're just waiting til the lawyers put it down on paper, rather than "We'll do whatever the faculty does" (meaning an en masse strike :( )
