Job Posting: Media Education Project
Media Education Project investigates the implications of online social behaviour and social networking for Canadian educators. There are a growing number of models that consider the usability of digital media within online environments as mediating interactions among people. By setting up shared spaces that distributes various media content, creates multiple social networks, and offers virtual spaces to related projects, we creates multiple online communities and offer web hosting and online identities to individuals, groups, and organizations in a number of ways so as to ascertain and assess how virtual common spaces are used. This research studies the focal points of social media by establishing how people – media educators in particular – form social networks, build relationships, and create social capital.
We are currently looking for a technically-minded person to report to our lead Online Designer. The potential candidate will possess a strong understanding of underlying web technologies and code/scripting languages, in particular an advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS, as well as a working knowledge of PHP and/or Javascript.
