Take a look at those pics and perhaps offer ideas? He can't press delete, nothing happens. Can't drag to Recycle, nothing happens. No properties options. Done safemode, same thing.

Corrupt OS? Malware? I assume malware is probably the most likely culprit.

Don't ask why the names are blacked out.. it's probably porn.

Tried it from command line?

Tried it from command line? I've had that issue a few times in earlier windows distros, and I always did it successfully via command prompt

If your DOS is a bit rusty:

cd {directory} --- changes directory
dir --- lists everything in the directory
del {filename} --- removes the file. ? and * wildcards work too, but beware.

I know this is a bit off topic but does anybody else ever find themselves trying ls before dir in DOS? Or is it just me? -_-;;

There's always '>console'

There's always '>console' from the loginwindow.

There's something hot about a laptop with a high-res framebuffer using Vim in all it's glory.

have you tried msconfig and

have you tried msconfig and reboot in diagnostic mode (pretty sure it's not the same as safe mode)? if that fails, boot into an ubuntu live cd, download the software to allow ntfs write capabilities in linux, and delete it from there.
