Portal's awesome.

Finished the game pretty quickly, and all of it was awesome. GLaDOS is great, the setting was done so well that it left me intrigued and theorizing about how it fits into the Half-Life setting (maybe Ep2 will fill in some details when I get around to playing it).
Even the developer commentary is worth listening too, since it was interesting to hear both the technical problems that came up and their design decisions.
I'm sitting at nearly 10 hours, having played through all of it multiple times and working on both the advanced levels and the challenges. Some of them really do seem impossible.

The cake is a lie. And yeah,
The cake is a lie.
And yeah, the advanced levels are hard. Not impossible, I've got 4/6 of them, but they can take some time to figure out.

Portal really was brilliant. I've got all of the advanced levels (though I'm pretty sure part of the last one I completed the wrong way, if that's possible). The end credits were hilarious. On the whole, I really enjoyed the experience an awful lot. I thought it would be neat, but I was surprised at how good it really was.

Advanced 18 was pretty interesting. I really enjoyed having to fling myself directly at the guns in order to knock them over. I'm still not sure if I was meant to destroy one of them with the camera or not, it's the only way I could figure out to do it.

I didn't destroy any with the camera, but I did use the camera as a shield at one point. How did you get up to platform 3 in that level? I ended up bypassing it completely and getting onto platform 4, and from there into the room with the sentry guns. I have no idea if that's what I was supposed to do, or if I just got lucky.

I double flung myself from the start over the gap, and shot a portal on the higher ground as I fell. Then I portaled over to a very small ledge that I somehow noticed on the opposite wall, then portaled up to the top, so I think I skipped that platform too. Might've just been left there to make you think about trying to get up there.
