CIS*4650

Hi everyone,
Due to low enrollment in Compilers, CIS*4650 (less than 5) we have
had to cancel the class in Winter 2008.

Is this course no longer required? It is unfortunate if that's the case, it was a truly great course (one of my favourites).

No, it's no longer required. The problem is, the last couple of times it has been offered,
only 2-3 people have signed up. If the number of people in a course is under 5, then
we usually cancel the course... just too few people. Part of the problem may be the
pre-reqs for the course. We are currently looking at all the 4th year prereqs to make
them more logical.
It will be on the books for next winter, but if too few sign up we may have to think
about cutting it... or replacing it with something more useful.
