Dental Plan

I've looked at some uoguelph websites and stuff...but I really don't know what the dental plan entails. I haven't opted out of it, and I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find information on it?

I think it is good for up to

I think it is good for up to $500 coverage as I recall. You typically pay up front, file a claim and a cheque arrives a few weeks later.

125 dollars gets you 500?

You pay 125 dollars for only 500 bucks coverage? So... in the case that I MIGHT need work on my canines, I'm not gonna save a whole lot, am I? I hate insurance.

I'm glad I opted out. Most students are covered under their parents anyway.

If your parents plan has

If your parents plan has limits just like the UoG plan, sometimes you end up saving money using both plans. That's what I ended up doing this year.

Also, depending on the type

Also, depending on the type of dental work you get done, they don't fully compensate you due to their own internal schedule. It's a racket, I wish I could opt out... Saving that money I'd be far ahead for dental work. I have to mostly pay out of my savings anyways as it stands now.
