I have an old desktop i want to connect to a TV downstairs for my parents to stream asian movies.

I need an AGP video card with DVI out and a PCI wireless NIC.

I'm also getting rid of 512 DDRII 667 ram for notebook and desktop if anyone wants to buy.
I prefer to be contacted via email.

Thanks,

Tony.

Do yourself a favour and

Do yourself a favour and wire it with CAT5 instead. Even a strong G connection can have blips which cause things to drop occasionaly. An N connection would be fine if you were willing to spend the cash. Otherwise, be prepared to play with the cache settings in your media player.

my other wireless devices stream fine to the TV and it doesn't even have an antenna.

Unless there's a giant pause i think it'll be fine for streaming. They don't even know how to surf the web.

How can it be wireless if there's no antenna? :)

My PS3 does a good job with wireless streaming of video. My laptop didn't fare as well though, but was watchable. (And this was 10 feet from the router.) I'm guessing the PS3 does more buffering, and uses a different protocol. (Also it could be that the laptop was running Vista, which, well, speaks for itself.)
