I hate microsoft/toshiba. their recovery wizard sucks. alot. anyone know any way i can reformaty/reinstall without using these damn discs while still having all my drivers?
And if you don't have linux installed, but were thinking of it, now's a good time to do it since you're nuking anyways. Ubuntu doesn't have any CD keys, or (*DFU(UJFW)OEUJ recovery crap.
Before you nuke, just download the drivers from the website and burn them to a CD. And double check the recovery disc, sometimes the image is accessible and you can grab the driver installers directly. Find a Vista (Home Premium?) disc, and hope that your serial number actually works.
Or grab Vista Business from MSDNA.
Man, I hate how Windows goes out of it's way to make things hard.
