Equilvalent of memtest, but for disks?
Does anyone know of a program similar to memtest, but for disk devices? Normally I'd use fsck, but I need something which will appropriately load the disk and then check for errors, without me having to load things myself. I need an app for OS X, freebsd, or possibly Windows, but *not* linux as I'm trying to determine if I'm being affected by a kernel bug.

Does tech tool pro not
Does tech tool pro not provide this? It comes with a Mac warranty box, and I got it from a MacUpdate bundle as well. I never really use it, so you're welcome to one of my two licenses.

I know my old Powerbook came
I know my old Powerbook came with TechTool, but I forget about my MacBook. Probably came with AppleCare.
I did find a couple of tools on the Ultimate Boot CD for Windows, but they were poorly documented and I'm not sure how much I trust them.
