Mario Kart Wii

Just picked it up today. And online play works on the first day -- first good online implementation for Wii.

Wii Wheel is surprisingly effective.

Surprised

I was actually really surprised at the lack of excitement. Future Shop was relatively slow for such a popular title release. There wasn't even a giveaway (Future shop loves giving away hats and/or posters with new game releases). We didn't sell out or anything. It seemed to be the most underrated release ever.

yeah, that's weird. I'm also guessing this is a tough time for game releases anyway, even without GTAiV.

It's also right on the coat tails of SSBB so maybe people are still in the midst of trying to complete SSBB's single player mode, which to me is a major chore.

It was released two days before GTA, that's not a great time to release games.
