Constitution Working Group Meetings start this week

Anyone who is interested: (a tl;dr is at the bottom)
A committee was formed in the mid-spring to make some amendments to the SOCIS constitution. The committee found that this was a much larger undertaking than expected, and that there are a world of things that could be done to improve it.
We decided to work through the summer for a Fall GMM (Week of September 30th) wherein we will vote to ratify the amendments. The work done through the summer will be in 3 forms: we will be holding bi-weekly meetings that may turn to weekly meetings much later in the summer, we will be keeping records and holding discussion in a Constitution forum, and we will be running an IRC channel for anyone who is at a distance and would like to participate. And we want more participants.
Meetings are currently set to be held in the SOCIS Lounge, at 5:30 every other Thursday, for those of us meeting in real-life.
This is where you put up your hand if you're interested and chime in to say you'd like to help.
Remember, the constitution doesn't exist so that the executive have a bulletproof defense against someone, and it doesn't exist so that we can put "Drafted a Consitution" on our resumes. The constitution should provide a clear, concise definition of the roles and responsibilities of various levels of membership within our society, for the benefit of every member. That means that if you're reading this, a well drafted constitution benefits you. So, if you're reading this, helping us would be helping yourself. So help us.
tl;dr: Constitution being made. Want to help? Post here. Meetings every other week, start 5:30 Thursday in LOCIS.
I'll keep a list of those known to be helping here. Also, you can discuss.

Progress Report
The meetings have essentially concluded, and the bulk of the work has been done. We have a near-final copy that is being error-checked and will be made widely available for review in early September (likely at or slightly before our first meeting), and we hope to ratify it alongside the by-election of a new Webmaster before September is out.
I'll email you a copy of what we have if you like, Dave. I caution you: it's changed significantly.
