The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for deploying, managing, maintaining and monitoring server environments, both virtual and physical, that support Microsoft Business Solution line of applications and stack technologies, both internally and for customers. Maintenance and management of these environments will be key to meeting Customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and expectations. The successful candidate will also be involved in managing the internal systems for the company, including email, demo sites, SharePoint sites and portals, etc. The job may require some travel to the various datacenters in the area but for the most part work will be done from home. There is opportunity for training as most of the technology used in the company will be leading edge.
This position would report to the Technical Support Manager and indirectly to the VP Technology and Operations.
Required Skills and Responsibilities
- Formal certifications in any of the following preferred but not required
- Microsoft Server Operating Systems (installing, patching, monitoring, optimizing, etc..)
- Microsoft Active Directory
- SQL 2000/2005 administration (backups, restores, Service management, install, etc)
- Exchange 2003/2007 Deployment and Administration
- SharePoint 2003/2007 Deployment and Administration
- SAN architecture (iSCSI, FC)
- Advanced networking skills, router and VPN management
- VMWare ESX VI3 management
- Installing and configuration server Hardware, vendor management for maintenance
- Citrix Presentation Server farm management
Demonstrable Experience
- Active Directory Design and Implementation
- Advanced Database skills (sizing, designing, etc.)
- SAN Deployment and design
- Advanced networking (site-to-site vpn, firewall, routing, VLANing)
- Deploying ESX servers, patching and best practice set ups
- Familiarity with major server Vendors and their support tools
- Exchange deployment and design
- Backup and Disaster Recovery Planning
- Experience with any or all of the Microsoft Business Solutions products would be a definite bonus
