I have House of the Dead 2/3, it's pretty fun BUT I hated playing through it again after losing. You'd get to the boss after playing for whatever time, and then bam, you die, and have to play for all that time to get back there. I like saves, dammit.
Overkill looked sweet from the vid you sent, had a Grind House feel to it.
