CPES Updates
9 Mil to renovate residences. All will use fobs instead of keys, (except south).
H1N1 may cause deferal of exams in case of extreme spread.
Peer helper program survey availible
Every thurday CPES will send out a mass email
Non Risky events: We are going back paper system.
The dean is coming to the CPES meeting in 2 weeks
What is helping/hindering our program?
Courses being taught by teams of proffessors: None of them take ownership of the course. This may be implemented for all first yar classes. "Scary"
Laptop space.
What is the status of the labs?
100 000 to go to new equipment.
Math stuff: Do we need to take more math, and would we be opposed to it?
New CIS spesific math course.
Pointless. 1200 is already doing review.
Need more details: What kind of math.

Deparment Updates:
Binary Bingo: Fundraiser for United way. All info is on website. Cost is $2/game card, $3/5 games cards, $7/10 Cards
Jan/Feb, the new Department name will be final.
Tim Bray, Famous Alumni grom guelph will give a talk during grad Operating system class. He Helped create xml, and is an all around cool guy. He is a potential Donner. Nov 17th 2:00pm.
The budget is "not too bad"
Minors: Comitee is working on minors. Bill Gardner likes the direction on that (Seems objective)
Josh Gaber is the current Senator for CS.
Game development has gotten the go ahead from the dean.
Meeting with Fanshawe to set up some sort of transfer to Uoguelph.
Calvert is considering moving 2910 into 3rd year.
"Yes Yes Yes"
May be a move to reintigrating 1910 and 2910.
Algorithms is heavily based on 2910.
Move 2030? We are learning two new languages (java and 68k) in one semester.
Moving 2030 is not likely to happen. They will just laugh.
More CIS in first year?
Cirriculum Comitee? There should be up to two students on it.
It may be a good idea if someone from in guelph goes, because some meetings may be scheduled between semesters.
Wyatt & Jaymie are interested.
We get 012 for storage!
We get an extention cord and microwave approval. This will come up next meeting.

Laurier wants details on CS games since we are bussing with them. $20 off if we register before Jan 20th. 2 Teams for School.
Are we sending 1 or two teams?
SLEF SHOULD give us $600, yet to be approved. CPES is also funding.
