Hi all -
Due to the high attrition rate in 2750 this semester, we have decided that we will waive 2750 as a prereq for students who want to proceed with the database course. We're trusting that 2520 will be enough to get them through the course, which does not have high programming content.
The pre-reg period just closed, but there are LOTS of seats in 3530 available, so you can easily register later. To take advantage of this offer, get your waiver from Greg Klotz.
Edit: Upcoming add periods are...
May 9-18
June 4-8
Aug 20-Sept 14
Please note: This concept DOES NOT extend to 3750. That course IS an intensive programming course, and students who did not pass 2750 will not be able to make a decent contribution to the team projects. Therefore, you must still pass 2750 before proceeding with 3750.
If you have any questions or want advice, do not hesitate to contact Greg or myself.

As someone whom has taken Databases, I can echo what Bill said - I would image that the course is faily easy to get through without 2750.
bEddie seems to be down at the moment, but when it comes back - you can get my old assignment questions and notes from here, http://www.cs-club.org/~dheppens/doc/353/, if you want to find out what you're in for.

I wish I had this option
I wish I had this option last year. I would have taken it this past fall ; )
If I was returning this coming fall I would take advantage of this. But sadly I'm not : (
